Men and women of all ages and levels of fitness or ability are invited to come along to one of our Walking Football sessions to take part in a slower paced version of the beautiful game.

With a number of sessions currently being delivered, enquiries are coming in on a weekly basis from older gentleman and women wanting to know more about the game and how they can get involved.

The great thing about Walking Football is that no experience is required and all abilities are welcome. The rules are exactly the same as normal football, however, you are not allowed to run or jog - strictly walking!!  It's a great way to get fit, improve your health, rehabilitate injuries, and the social aspect is huge in that there is plenty of fun to be had both on and off the pitch where lots of groups will stick around for coffees and meet up outside of their weekly football sessions.

Jonathan Sinfield, aged 62, a regular Walking Footballer with us says

Walking Football has been life changing for me. I still dream of playing for England!  It is great comradery and exercise

We offer free taster sessions for anyone wishing to give it a go. Tie up those laces, get your football career back on track, and walk yourself fit at any one of our sessions.

Ozzie Willis who coordinates our Walking Football programme is excited about how much Walking Football is growing.

It's exciting times for Walking Football, people are playing for the first time in their life and others are playing again after hanging up their boots 30-40 years ago. It's incredible to hear about the impact its having on so many people. I would recommend Walking Football to anyone, so much so I now have my 72 year old Dad involved and regularly attending one of our sessions. It really is for anyone, and I would encourage both and men and women to try it out. The Foundation will continue to support Walking Football and are excited to be apart of its growth.
