CURRENT VACANCIES

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION MANAGER

Stevenage FC Foundation is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to take up a key role within its expanding community programme. 

The Foundation is looking to appoint a Community Participation Manager to lead, manage and develop a number of community-based projects including Premier League Kicks, holiday football camps, pay & play, walking football, active tots and other football related projects. As well as linking their own projects to other key Foundation projects including Premier League Girls and all school-based projects.

Reports To: Head of Foundation

Location: Based at Stevenage FC Foundation office, The Lamex Stadium, Broadhall Way, Stevenage, SG2 8RH. Travel to various locations across Stevenage and Hertfordshire is involved

Contract: 40 Hours Per Week. Due to the nature of the post late night, weekend, match day and bank holiday work may be necessary

Salary: Circa £20,000 per annum

To lead on all community engagement, football development and matchday projects creating opportunities for participants to make positive choices to lead active and healthy lifestyles. The role forms part of the Foundation’s senior management team, with the expectation to support the Head of Foundation with the strategic direction of the charity.

WOMEN & GIRLS SESSIONAL COACH (FOOTBALL)

The Foundation is looking for a sessional FA Level 2 Football Coach required to deliver on our Women and Girls programmes. The role will mainly be working on our Premier League Girls programme but there will also be crossover with our Premier League Primary Stars programme as well as the opportunity to coach on our Girls Development Centre.

Job Title: Women and Girls’ Sessional Coach 

Reports To: Women and Girls Project Officer

Location: Various locations across Stevenage and Hertfordshire

Salary: £13 per hour (Must be FA Level 2 Qualified)

The purpose of the job role is to support the Women and Girls Project officer with the delivery of fun, engaging and innovative sessions to inspire and motivate Women and Girls to participate in Football. Working across several Women and Girls focused projects, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of football sessions within schools or the community to Women and Girls of different ages and abilities.

SESSIONAL COACHES

Hourly Rate Dependant On Qualifications

Stevenage FC Foundation is seeking enthusiastic coaches to deliver a number of projects in Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages. Applicants will have a flexibe approach to work, with evening and weekend sessions a possibility. Delivery will include supporting sessions such as after-school clubs, soccer camps, Premier League Kicks, Saturday morning pay & play, matchday activities and more. Weekly hours are variable.

All coaches are expected to have:

- A minimum FA Level 1 certificate / FA Level 2 certificate (desirable)

- Up to date emergency aid and child protection certificates

- Be willing to complete a full FA DBS check

- Driving License and access to vehicle is desirable

TRUSTEES

We are looking to expand the number of voluntary trustees on our Board and would welcome applications from local professionals with specialist experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

- Safeguarding young/vulnerable people, particularly in an education, sporting or youth engagement environment

- Data Protection & Security

- Quality Improvement, Assurance & Assessment

- Marketing & Public Relations

Applications are particularly welcome from women and people from non-white ethnic backgrounds, who are currently under-represented on the Board.

Apprenticeships with Stevenage FC Foundation are delivered in partnership with Sporting Futures Training and Hart Learning & Development to offer both coaching and business apprenticeships with the Foundation.

VOLUNTEERING

Stevenage Football Club Foundation is always looking for volunteers to help with the running of the Foundation. If you think you have a skill set which you think may be of value to us and our local community then please email [email protected] 


WORK EXPERIENCE

The Foundation receives a substantial amount of requests for work experience placements throughout the year. Unfortunately we are unable to meet the demand and ask that requests are made through schools. Preference will be given to partner schools, where possible.
