Strength and Balance classes are designed for individuals wanting to improve their strength and balance while learning some new exercises to help maintain independence.

The classes are suitable for people who haven’t exercised before or who have started to experience a decline in their physical ability. Each class is approximately 45 minutes with an opportunity both before and after to talk with the instructor.

You will be able to exercise at your own pace in a positive environment and meet others in your local community who are at a similar ability level.

There is a mixture of standing and seated exercises. You will need to be able to stand for most of the class and be able to walk around the hall.

Don’t forget to bring some water to stay hydrated and wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are suitable for exercise.
