In 2014 Stevenage Football Club combined forces with Stevenage Borough Ladies Football Club to form Stevenage Ladies Football Club.

The move was driven by the increased work in Women’s and Girls football in the local community undertaken by Stevenage Football Club Foundation. This work was supported by funding from the Premier League with the aim of increasing participation at the grassroots level of the game through our Premier League Girls project.

The ladies club has a first team and reserve team, both of whom initially played its home matches at Codicote Sports Ground.

Stevenage Ladies won the Women's County Cup in 2015 to clinch their first piece of silverware after their reformation and then went one better in 2016, winning the Eastern Region Premier Division title to secure promotion to the FA Women's Premier League South East Division.

As a result of their promotion, the Ladies agreed a groundshare at Hertford Town's Hertingfordbury Park Stadium (West Street, Hertford, SG13 8EZ) in July 2016. Matches usually take place on Sunday afternoon (2pm KO).

Stevenage Ladies Reserves continue to play their Eastern Region home games at the Codicote Sports and Social Club (Bury Lane, Codicote, SG4 8XY). Matches usually take place on Sunday afternoon (2pm KO) and are free to attend.
