Stevenage FC Foundation Walking Football programme is raising awareness and collecting money for Prostate Cancer UK throughout September.

When you look at the statistics, prostate cancer exists in every walking football team in the UK - 1 in 8 men get prostate cancer, and 83% of men don't know their risk; which is why we are supporting this great initiative to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and awareness of a disease killing one man every 45 minutes.

Throughout all of our sessions in September, we will have a collection box, and on Wednesday 26th September we will be hosting a Prostate Cancer Walking Football tournament at Shephalbury Academy, Broadhall Way, Stevenage 10-12pm.

Ken Headington, Walking Football Lead Coach says "This is a great opportunity to use our Walking Football audience, to raise money for Prostate Cancer. The players have all been very supportive, many of whom have also had a brush with cancer. Hopefully throughout August we will be able to raise lots of money and have fun playing lots of football"
