The Ken Headington Walking Football Memorial Cup is back for a second year. In loving memory of our very own Foundation Community Coach, Ken Headington, who we sadly lost in February 2019.

Ken has helped so many people in the football community and in the walking football world. What better way to honour his commitment and time by having a tournament dedicated to him at the Lamex Stadium, home to our very own Stevenage Football Club.

The proceeds from entry fees will be going to the Upfront Project, which was set up and run by Ken himself. Upfront sessions are football-based activities for adults with any disability who would like to play regular football. This includes weekly training to help improve their football skills, meet new people and play in monthly fixtures against other teams. The project has given so many people the opportunity to play football when they thought they never could.

In September, the Upfront Project is going to expand from PAN disability to include deaf football and we hope to have an adult deaf football team set up for the 2020/21 season.
