NCS raises money for local charities

Six teams of young people from across Stevenage have raised a massive £2832 for local charities after their phenomenal work last month.

The Garden House Hospice, Child UK, Epilepsy Research UK, Willow Foundation, Herts Young Homeless and Stevenage FC Foundation will all benefit from these donations to aid their fantastic work in the local community.

NCS Coordinator, Dani Burge was delighted with the success of the programme “The amount raised by the six groups was exceptional and one of the highest totals we’ve had since our first NCS programme in 2012. It is a reflection of the amount of work that the young people involved put into the programme. We’re also delighted that all 73 young people that came away with us in week one, were here at the end of week 4.”

Tee off at the Foundation Golf Day

The Foundation has partnered with Stevenage Golf Centre for a charity golf day on Wednesday 14th September.

There are trophies for winners & runners up of the team competition, a nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two and highest individual stableford score. Additionally, players will be able to take on the Stevenage Golf Centre Pro on one of the Par 3’s.

Teams of 3 can enter for £35 per player and each group will draw a Stevenage FC first team player to complete their 4 ball. Entry fees include refreshments and a bacon roll before tee off time at 12:45pm.

There are also opportunities for companies to sponsor one of the 18 holes on the day for just £100.

All proceeds from the day will be donated to Stevenage FC Foundation to help deliver our work in the local community.

If you’d like to enter a team or discuss sponsorship on the day, please contact Bob Makin on 01438 222222 or via [email protected]

Matchday & Mascot packages available

For every home game, the Foundation and Stevenage FC offer matchday and mascot packages for children aged 5-12.

Matchday Packages include a one hour coaching session at The Academy with Foundation coaches, followed by the chance to take a penalty on the hallowed Lamex turf, tickets in the West Stand to watch the match and a complimentary packed lunch for all children that attend.

These packages are priced at £15 per child and all bookings require a minimum of 10 children and there is a maximum of 20 children per package.

Being a mascot is a great way to experience a VIP day at The Lamex. The mascot will get a unique look behind the scenes and meet all their heroes in the dressing room as well as warming up on the pitch before the game. Mascot packages are available for home and away games and include a packed lunch, complimentary tickets for the mascot and one adult with the option to purchase additional tickets for other family members and a Stevenage FC Foundation goodie bag.

To cap it all off, the mascot will walk out with the players at the beginning of the game and take part in the pre match fair play handshake.

Mascot packages have been reduced for the 2016/17 season and are now just £100!

If you’d like to find out more about the packages please call 01438 222222 or email Tom Farr via [email protected]
