Foundation welcomes new staff

Over the course of the summer Bob Makin, Jack Rees, Jordan Wimpenny, Jimmy Martin and Josh Howard-Dobson all left the Foundation to take up new challenges, with a number of them accepting roles in the football clubs’ academy.

Whilst recruitment is ongoing in some areas, the Foundation would like to introduce fans to three new apprentices and a new finance officer.

Alfie Bryant and Luke Keating have joined the Foundation as Community Coach Apprentices and will be completing a one-year apprenticeship, supporting our delivery out in the local community in a variety of settings.

The continually growing team of apprentices is further bolstered by Eleanor Bullough joining the team as the Foundation’s Community Admin Apprentice. Eleanor has previous taken part in the NCS programme and returned this year as a staff member for the hugely successful summer wave.

Finally, Linda Moyster will join the Foundation in October as a part time Finance Officer, replacing Bob Makin after he took over from Chris Clark as Club Secretary within the football club. The Liverpool native comes to the Foundation from Stratton Upper School in Biggleswade.

I hope you’ll join me in wishing our outgoing and incoming staff all the best for the future.

Spaces available on NCS Autumn project

After the fantastic success of the Foundation Summer NCS programme, we’re looking ahead to October half term and the Autumn programme.

“NCS has impacted my life by strengthening my previous skills such as teamwork skills and leadership, but has also taught me money management skills. In a social way, NCS has impacted me by helping me build bridges with past rivals, and has helped me form true friendships.”

Shelley Lloyd - NCS Participant, Summer 2016

There are only 30 spaces available for young people aged 16-17 in the Stevenage area, so don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of this special programme.

Be a “Boro” Mascot

Being a mascot is a great way to experience a VIP day at The Lamex. The mascot will get a unique look behind the scenes and meet all their heroes in the dressing room as well as warming up on the pitch before the game. Mascot packages are available for home and away games and include a packed lunch, complimentary tickets for the mascot and one adult with the option to purchase additional tickets for other family members and a Stevenage FC Foundation goodie bag.

To cap it all off, the mascot will walk out with the players at the beginning of the game and take part in the pre match fair play handshake.

Mascot packages have been reduced for the 2016/17 season and are now just £100!

If you’d like to find out more about the packages please call 01438 222222 or email [email protected]
