Easter Soccer Schools Start Next Week!

On Tuesday 3rd April, the Foundation will kick off their new Soccer Schools across Hertfordshire that gives children the chance to experience football in a safe and fun environment.

The Soccer Schools will run for three days (Tuesday - Thursday) during every school holiday for boys and girls aged 5-14 years old in Letchworth, Hertford, Ware and Welwyn Garden City.

Soccer Schools provide children with the opportunity to learn the games key skills through fun games and activities, as well as Individual Ball Mastery, Small Sided Games, Inflatable Challenge in a fun and friendly environment by the Foundation's FA Qualified and DBS checked football coaches.

Starting from Easter, the Soccer Schools will include special visits from Stevenage FC first team players and Boro Bear plus each child will get the chance to take part in our inflatable target challenge.

As a special launch offer, every child that signs up with the Easter Soccer Schools will receive a FREE ticket for them and an adult to see Stevenage FC take on Cambridge United at The Lamex Stadium on Saturday 14th April.

NCS Numbers Soaring

Each year the Foundation give young people aged 15-17 the chance to have the summer of a lifetime by completing the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme. Designed to give young people the chance to experience adventure, discovery and social action.

This year will be a record breaking year for the Foundation with our biggest EVER progamme and there are already over 90 young people signed up to take part.

Stevenage Ladies Retain County Cup Trophy

Congratulation to Stevenage Ladies who successfully retained the Hertfordshire FA Women’s Challenge Cup on Sunday 11th March after swatting aside Hoddesdon Town Owls, 8-0.

A hat-trick from Amy Makewell, braces from Chloe Gunn and Ashleigh Deacon plus a late goal from Leah Littlechild meant Stevenage Ladies joined the likes of Arsenal Women & Watford Ladies as the only sides to retain the prestigious trophy!

The ladies will be presented to the Lamex crowd, along with the trophy at the Cambridge United home game on Saturday 14th April.
