Kicks Debut At Luton Festival

Earlier this month, the first batch of Premier League Kicks participants got the opportunity to represent Stevenage FC at a Kicks festival organised by Luton Town Community Trust.

Teams from MK Dons, Charlton Athletic, and two sides from the hosts took part in a days’ worth of football and a great chance from some of our Kicks participants to experience playing competitive football in a safe and friendly environment.

Kicks Coordinator, Ozzie Willis said “It was a great day and a fantastic opportunity for some of the lads from our Friday night session to represent the football clubs against other teams from our area.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the project and giving young people the chance to experience representing their local side on days like this are exactly what it is all about”.

Sessions are held at Marriotts School on Friday night, 7-9pm and a new multi-sport session is launching on Wednesday 26th April at Bowes Lyon Centre in Stevenage.

Golf Day Just Two Weeks Away

Our annual charity golf day at Stevenage Golf Centre in Aston is picking up pace but spaces are still available for teams of 3 or individuals to enter for just £40 each.

The day aims to raise money from the Foundation’s work with 5-11 year olds in both an education and community setting.

Each player will receive breakfast on arrival, 18 holes of golf with a Stevenage FC First Team player or member of staff as well as a hot buffet to recover from your round.

There will be additional opportunities to win on the day with a nearest the pin, longest drive and a chance to beat the pro on a Par 3 hole, all sitting alongside the team and individual stableford competitions.
