1st Team Players attend Soccer Camps

Local youngsters attending today's final day of half term Soccer Camps received a frighteningly good treat this afternoon when manager Darren Sarll and some first team players came along to visit!

Jamie Jones, Dale Gorman and Chris Day accompanied Darren to the Stevenage FC Academy after training to meet the youngsters, a number of whom had dressed up in Halloween fancy dress for the final day of fun and games led by Stevenage FC Foundation coaches.

The four signed autographs, answered some probing questions about their favourite players, teams and highlights as footballers (Darren also being asked to identify his best goalkeeper was fun...!) and joined in with some of the small-sided matches as the youngsters enjoyed their final day of camps.

Stanley’s big day out as a Boro Mascot

At our recent home game against Exeter, young Stanley Hewitt was treated to a mascot package as part of his birthday. He and his family have been season ticket holders for the past two season buts had never been involved in the matchday experience.

Stanley’s dad Ray could not speak highly enough of the experience “Everyone was warm and friendly especially the players and management staff, a special mention to Jamie Jones who spent considerable time speaking to Stanley in reception.  Stanley was very excited to go into the changing rooms to meet all the players, who all took time to talk to Stanley and sign both his ball and programme.

Stanley is football mad so his favourite part of the day was the pre match and half time kick around on the pitch.  Overall a very enjoyable day and something I would definitely recommend to any football loving child. “

Being a mascot is a great way to experience a VIP day at The Lamex. The mascot will get a unique look behind the scenes and meet all their heroes in the dressing room as well as warming up on the pitch before the game. Mascot packages are available for home and away games and include a packed lunch, complimentary tickets for the mascot and one adult with the option to purchase additional tickets for other family members and a Stevenage FC Foundation goodie bag.

To cap it all off, the mascot will walk out with the players at the beginning of the game and take part in the pre match fair play handshake.

Mascot packages have been reduced for the 2016/17 season and are now just £100!
